New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie decided to use his national platform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to express his frustration with the first GOP debate hosted by Fox News.
The record-breaking ratings extravaganza garnered a great deal of attention for fellow GOP candidate Donald Trump and FNC anchor Megyn Kelly, but very little for Christie and many of the other candidates. At least that’s according to the governor.
“There was one point where I went 20 questions in a row without being asked a question. That’s hard,” said Christie.
When Jimmy Fallon asked why he didn’t just interject, Christie explained that candidates are “not supposed to, but a few people did. I didn’t think that was appropriate.”
However, Christie half-jokingly exclaimed that if a similar situation presents itself at the CNN GOP debate on Sept. 16, he’ll go “nuclear” and “turn green.”
